  • Details
This is an exclusive embroidered adaptation of Designer Christopher Dresser's "Tile" [Flying Cranes] produced originally for Factory Minton(s) in Britain, ca. 1875. The original tile features cranes flying over stylized waves, inspired by Japanese design elements. The motif, representing longevity, is rendered in white on a deep blue background. Christopher Dresser, a prominent figure in design, often looked to Japanese art for inspiration. While Dresser's exact relationship with Minton remains unclear, many of his designs were produced by the factory.
