Vinyl Stickers | "Tile" [Flying Cranes] (ca. 1875), by Christopher Dresser

This tile features cranes flying over stylized waves, inspired by Japanese design elements. The motif, representing longevity, is rendered in white on a deep blue background. Christopher Dresser, a prominent figure in design, often looked to Japanese art for inspiration. While Dresser's exact relationship with Minton remains unclear, many of his designs were produced by the factory. Although unsigned, this tile is identified as his work through drawings found in the company’s archives.
